Warren Whyte is a chartered architect and bookshop owner, and runs a rural architecture consultancy specialising in heritage, ecclesiastical and complex projects, with a focus on problem solving and helping clients develop their brief and finding innovative and cost-effective ways to help deliver their objectives.

Warren has been involved with local politics for over 15 years as an elected County, District, Town and Parish Councillor. He has held a number of leadership roles during that time including cabinet member, select committee chairman and deputy mayor.

Warren has been an active member of the Conservative Party since 2010, and is a well known campaigner with a record of election wins. He supports many candidates and incumbents around the country, and has set up two Conservative Policy Forum groups to encourage grass roots policy discussions.

He is involved in numerous charities as a trustee or supporter and has been instrumental in setting up a number of community projects such as the Bart community bus and Friends of Buckingham Library.

Warren is also involved in architectural politics, having been re-elected to the Royal Institute of British Architects governing council and represents architects from Milton Keynes to the Isle of Wight. He was previously a governing council member of the University of Buckingham, and a visiting lecturer at the Birmingham City University School of Architecture. He has been a Civic Trust Awards regional assessor for over ten years and continues to promote positive thinking in place making and regeneration debates, together with campaigning for sustainable transport.

During the covid pandemic, Warren has been at the forefront of helping the local community; from founding Buckingham What’s On, to setting up the nationally recognised Stay At Home Food & Supplies Directory and being a volunteer NHS responder for the vaccine role out.
